All animals deserve love and care.

At Homeward Bound we have found good homes for more than 9,000 puppies and kittens ... plus hundreds of other animals!

We will accept almost any kind of pet. Puppies and dogs, kittens and cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, hedgehogs, ferrets, snakes, lizards, chinchillas, birds, sugar gliders, and fish have all been brought to us.

raccoonNot only do domesticated animals find their way here, so do wild ones. In our wildlife rehabilitation program we care for and nurture back to health several species of wild animals, including ducks, raccoons, birds, squirrels, and rabbits. We have a no-kill policy and we have always stood behind it. All wildlife is returned to the wild after rehabilitation is completed.

What if an animal doesn't get adopted?

All animals brought to Homeward Bound will stay with us until a “forever home” is found. We have some special needs animals that have been with us for more than 13 years. All our animals will be provided with love, food, and care until that special home is found.

We need your help.

Make a donation! Our 501(c)(3) private, non-profit “no-kill” animal rescue is funded entirely through donations. Won't you please help support our work?

As any pet owner knows, animals are expensive. Food, shelter, and veterinary care are ongoing expenses. Spaying or neutering pets to help reduce the number of unwanted homeless animals is another expense. Only the love is free!
